DescriptionSince 1982 WEHRLE Umwelt (WEHRLE Environmental) consults, engineers and builds plants for the treatment of landfill leachate, MBT wastewater and industrial effluents. WEHRLE also offers related services like plant operation, plant efficiency optimisation and upgrades of existing plants for better performance or to achieve a higher outlet quality. Beyond the effluent treatment to indirect or direct discharge limits or process water recycling, WEHRLE offers systems for biogas generation, sludge reduction and the recovery of heat energy and nutrients from the effluent. The range of technologies incorpo-rated by WEHRLE reaches from primary (pre)treatment steps, like screens, DAFs (Dissolved Air Flotation), separators etc. to tertiary (post)treatment steps such as Activated carbon (AC), Nanofiltration (NF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO). For secondary (main) treatment, WEHRLE uses a range of technologies depending on the treatment targets. This could be anaerobic bioreactors out of the BIODIGAT®-family, as well as aerobic membrane-bioreactors (BIOMEMBRAT®) or the new, super-compact BIOSTREAM® jet loop bioreactor.
